Whether you have been overworked, or simply feel like you have lost your place in the home or social environment, this midweek retreat provides the time out you need to reconnect or develop a stronger sense of purpose.


Ideas flow when conversations start, minds are opened, and the space is made. With our guest speaker, Sean Purcell, speaking about truly living a life of purpose, active sessions in nature and mindfulness time, you’ll be opened up, to find your way again.


Our experienced surf leader will guide you through what the ocean provides him with. Andrew loves being in the ocean, even if there are no waves, as it brings clarity of mind. This along with being invigorated whilst flowing through the trees on a mountain bike, you’ll leave this retreat feeling refreshed and renewed, with some clarity to focus on yourself.

While on a morning run along a Torquay beach, Sean Purcell went into cardiac arrest and his heart stopped beating, leaving him face first in the water. Sean’s prognosis was bleak, clinically dead for 45 minutes – if he was to survive; his family were told he would suffer permanent brain damage. But Sean survived and is thriving, sharing his inspiring story: the collapse, a five-day coma, a journey of recovery and his quest to find and thank the locals who saved his life. 

Sean is driven to make the most of his second chance at life, sharing his story “Life of Purpose” all over the country. His talk focuses on the importance of gratitude, how capable we all are when faced with direct opportunity or adversity and the need for all of us to capitalise on our unique skill set and truly live a life of purpose!

Melonie has over 7 years of experience as a success mentor. Having worked as a palliative care nurse for 20 years and experienced burnout, anxiety and depression herself, Melonie learned of another way to do and be in life. 

As a success mentor, author and keynote speaker, Melonie supports high achievers, educating them about achieving in self-love now, rather than having to learn the lessons through pain and suffering.

Day 1

  • 12noon Arrive at Great Ocean Road Resort and be greeted by your retreat hosts Michelle & Sean

  • 12:45pm – 1:15pm Meet and greet welcome drinks

  • 1:30pm – 4:15pm 60min Men's Facial with foot, neck and shoulder massage at Lux Spa & Wellness & leisure time

  • 5:30pm – 6:30pm "Life of Purpose" with guest speaker Sean Purcell

  • 6:30pm Dinner at our onsite fine dining restaurant The Coast with Sean Purcell

Day 2

  • 7:15am – 8:30am Yoga / stretching class with Amanda

  • 8:30am - 9am Time to shower and freshen up

  • 9am – 10am Nourishing breakfast

  • 10am – 12noon Mountain bike riding with Jo and Damien

  • 12:30pm – 1:30pm Group lunch 

  • 1:30pm – 2:30pm Workshop with Melonie Taylor

  • 2:30pm – 5:30pm 60min Marine Magnesium Massage at Lux Spa & Wellness / Infrared session (must pre-book) & leisure time

  • 6:30pm Retreat Group Dinner

Day 3

  • 7am - 9am Group Surf Session with Andrew Cronk

  • 9am - 10am Nourishing breakfast

  • 10am - 11am Guided group meditation, mindfulness & reflection with Amanda

  • 11am - 12noon Leisure time

  • 12noon Farewell & check out

  • 100% payment is required at time of booking to secure your spot in this retreat

  • Payment is fully refundable if you are not able to attend the Retreat due to Covid-19 travel restrictions which do not allow you to travel from your place of residence to Anglesea

  • Payment is fully refundable if you or a close contact develop Covid-19 symptoms prior to the Retreat which results in you not being to attend the Retreat

  • Payment is fully refundable if the Retreat is not able to proceed on the advertised date due to the Victorian Government Covid-19 restrictions prohibiting Great Ocean Road Resort to lawfully run the Retreat
